AUTUMN SAILING TO SADELÖGA
Last weekend, we enjoyed our final weekend at sea before the boat gets hauled out. David came up from Kalmar, and we set off on Saturday morning. The sun was shining, and the winds were in our favor.
With a northerly breeze, we decided to sail to Sadelöga, which is an ideal harbor for such winds. And we definitely weren’t the only ones in the bay ;)
After we docked, we took a walk around the island. There were some impressive water-filled 'pools' on the west side. Since it was the season's final trip, we decided to treat ourselves to a little indulgence—risotto, asparagus, and prosciutto. For dessert, I sneaked in some ice cream with caramelized nuts and fried banana, all without David noticing. The ice cream had melted slightly during the sail, but honestly, it didn’t matter at all. It was absolutely delicious!
Even on the way back, the sun was shining, and we had a wonderful sail home. It was a perfect way to wrap up the season. Autumn sailing is truly incredible—the water is still warm, the air is crisp, and there are fewer boats in the archipelago.
