SKI TOURING ÅRESKUTAN
Today was the day for my first summit tour. Allan and I met up at the cable car in the morning, and higher up, we met Odd, who decided to join us as well. It was a stunningly beautiful Easter day, and I was filled with excitement.
After taking the gondola up, we strapped on our skins and made the final trek to Toppstugan, where we enjoyed a sunny fika before our first descent down the backside.
After that, we traversed over toward Lillskutan and skied down through the forest to Björnen. From there, we took the lifts back up to the top for round two. Once again, we skinned up to Toppstugan, but this time, we headed a bit further east and enjoyed a fantastic run down Blåstensvalvet. Afterward, we put our skins back on and retraced our steps up the same route.
Next, we headed toward Västerskutan and skied down to Tväråvalvet, where we parted ways. It was an amazing day, one that definitely left me wanting more.
